The Woodshed contains some of my favorite jazz songs arranged for guitar in the chord melody style. I find this approach to learning a song challenging musically, yet very rewarding in the end. Hopefully you will find these songs as inspiring as I have, as that inspiration will in turn, push you to read and learn this music.
I have included fingerings and mp3's of the songs to help in the learning process. Numbers with circles around them indicate the string that a particular note would be played on. The fingerings I have written are accurate, but you may find something easier, so feel free to change them.
Learning to play the guitar is a never ending path to fulfillment which we all walk. I sincerely hope you find The Woodshed beneficial on your journey.
